Position Overview
As a Courtesy Technician, you play a key role in the customer experience. You’ll handle visible service tasks during our 17-Point Oil Change, ensuring every customer leaves with confidence in our service and a positive impression of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and prepare vehicles for service
- Drive vehicles into and out of service bays safely
- Perform “Tech Talk” with customers as needed
- Prepare service documentation and apply reminder stickers
- Complete courtesy cleaning:
- Vacuum interior
- Clean exterior windows, mirrors, and headlamps
- Vacuum interior
- Inspect wiper blades
- Check and adjust tire pressure
- Reset oil indicator lights when applicable
- Start vehicle and verify proper oil pressure
- Return vehicle to customer and invite them back for future service
Additional Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of the service center (floors, windows, lot)
- Assist with general shop upkeep and organization
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Ability to operate motor vehicles (valid driver’s license required)
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Willingness to learn—no prior experience required
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Regular exposure to vehicle noise and exhaust fumes
- Physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Use of automotive oils, fluids, and related materials
